Kitchen Tools for Vegans Who Love to Cook!

We came up with the idea of writing about kitchen tools for vegans when I realized that preparing healthy, tasty vegan meals requires a set of tools that not everybody has in a typical kitchen. As you start preparing more whole-food, plant-based (and sometimes even raw!) meals, you’ll see how these tools are not gadgets but really helpful companions on your vegan journey.

Looking for an easy, fun way to get kids excited about goal-setting? Full Focus Kids may be just what you’ve been searching for!

2020 will go down as one of the most chaotic years of all time. Feeling it too? Here are four steps to help your kids succeed within the mayhem.

As crazy as 2020 has been, I have friends who joke and call it “the end times.”

Wait… are they joking?

However you look at it, 2020 has been a pandora’s box of surprises.

It’s bad enough if you’re on your own just trying to make it through unscathed.

But if you have kids…?

Fuhgettaboudit.

Creating Routines for Kids in 2020

Kids got the endless summer they always dreamed of–and now most of them are begging for it to end. Depending on where you live, at-home schooling has either just started or is just around the corner.

This is one of the reasons I’m so big on scheduling and creating routines: regardless of what’s going on outside, there is a lot you can keep under control.

And the same is true for your kids.

Things have been wild for us as adults, but the last few months have been just as topsy-turvy for kids. I’d even say kids have been impacted in a bigger way.

But let’s not focus on that. Let’s talk about what we can do about it.

Namely, help kids set up schedules, get organized, and manage their time, so they are empowered to take control of their growing universe.

Imagine if the kids and young adults in your house had a system to help them be self-starters.

Something that helped them stay on top of their priorities and set and reach goals that mattered to them.

Full Focus Planners for Kids

My friend, Michael Hyatt, just came out with two new planners that give kids and young adults the guidance and tools to take control and set themselves up to win.

These are simplified versions of the Full Focus System designed to fit the life-stages of middle schoolers, high school students, and college students, to help them build the crucial success habits of time management and goal setting.

Full Focus Kids and Full Focus Students aren’t “professional planners” with colorful covers: these are tools built to teach AND organize. Plus, I’ve got an exclusive promo code to share with you all for a discount, too!

With prompts, examples, and tutorials, this is as much a learning and habit-forming system as it is a tool for organizing.

“But how do I get my kids to use it?”

That’s the trick, isn’t it?

Well, I have some ideas about that.

How to Get Kids to Use the Full Focus Planner

Here are 4 easy, brilliant ways to turn kids who are bewildered by 2020 into self-starting, goal-setting, success magnets.

You’ll help them out and retain some of your sanity too. That’s a win-win for sure!

1. Get Them Excited

Help your kids find the motivation for using the planner.

Yes, building these habits will make them more successful as adults.

It can help them reach more immediate goals, like saving for a skateboard, guitar, or a first car.

But to make your kids want to adopt this success system, you’ll have a better shot if they come up with their own reasons to use it.

2. Take Baby Steps

Don’t throw everything at them at once. Have your kids start small and branch out from there.

For example, you could have your kids fill out the first week or two of the calendar, listing their commitments. After they’ve used it for a week, have them move on to weekly goals or the big quarterly goals.

The key is to let them master a skill before tackling the next one.

3. Make it Fun!

This sounds like a stretch, right? Well, it doesn’t have to be!

Gamify the process of learning this success-building habit.

Got a kid who has a hard time getting ready in the morning? Assign 100 pts for every 5-day winning streak of setting their clothes out the night before.

Have a child who forgets to do their reading homework? Give them 300 points for a 21-day stretch of reading for 30-minutes each night before bed.

You can list various prizes they can “buy” when they accumulate enough points. The only limit here is your imagination.

4. What’s in It for Them?

Beyond rewards… what’s in it for them to plan their days, set goals, and stay organized?

What big goals could they accomplish?

How could they improve at school, in sports, and even with their social life?

Help them see what’s possible through planning and time management.

Help Your Young People Build Confidence and Take Control of their Future

Kids and young adults can control the quality of their days, weeks, and months, simply by planning ahead. They can basically reward themselves while building habits that serve them throughout their lives.
